Gerhard Frey

Gerhard Frey is Professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen's Institute for Experimental Mathematics, holding the honorary title Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. His research bridges arithmetic geometry and cryptographic applications.

Research focuses on algebraic curves, abelian varieties, and their use in public-key cryptosystems. This includes work on discrete logarithm problems, isogenies, and security protocols based on number-theoretic constructs.
