Gergely Ambrus is a Professor at the Department of General Philosophy, Institute of Philosophy, Faculty of Humanities, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). His research focuses on foundational questions in analytic philosophy, particularly the intersection of philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, and metaphysics. He has published extensively on Vienna Circle thinkers like Carnap and Schlick, and his work addresses logical behaviorism, physicalism, and the mind-body problem.
His recent publications include studies on Carnap’s physicalist philosophy of psychology, the semantics of first-person knowledge, and historical analyses of Hungarian and Austrian philosophical traditions.
