Geralyn Brostrom, DBA, is the Associate Teaching Professor and Chip Cassidy '75 Distinguished Professor of Wine at the Vidal-Duart Wine Studies Program within the Chaplin School of Hospitality Management at Florida International University. With over two decades of experience in both the wine industry and academia, she brings a unique international perspective to her role.

Research and Professional Interests: Dr. Brostrom's expertise encompasses winery management, wine importing, distribution, retail, and the wine education sector. Her research focuses on the business aspects of wine, including market dynamics, international trade, and educational methodologies in wine studies. She has authored three books on wine, including "The Business of Wine: An Encyclopedia."
Industry Contributions: Beyond academia, Dr. Brostrom co-founded Italian Wine Central, a wine education and certification organization. She previously served as Vice President of Education for Winebow, a national importer and distributor of fine wines.
International Experience: As a dual citizen of the United States and Italy, she has made nearly 40 visits to Italy and traveled to over 20 of the world's wine regions, living in California's Napa Valley for nearly a decade.
