Geraldine Dowling

Dr. Geraldine Dowling is a Lecturer in Forensic Science at Atlantic Technological University's Department of Life Sciences. A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she maintains honorary positions at King's College London and Queen Mary University of London.

Her research specializes in analytical techniques for detecting novel psychoactive substances and their metabolites. Work focuses on tandem mass spectrometry applications in forensic toxicology and pharmaceutical science.

Publications address synthetic cannabinoid analysis, lysergamide characterization, and innovative methodologies for detecting emerging drugs of abuse in biological samples.
