Gerald Pinter

Gerald Pinter is a Lecturer in Jazz Saxophone at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and Saddleback Community College. He earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Texas (formerly North Texas State University), where he recorded with the One O'Clock Lab Band. His career spans decades of performance and recording in mainstream jazz, collaborating with legendary artists and leading ensembles across the U.S.

Research and Artistic Focus: Pinter specializes in jazz improvisation, saxophone pedagogy, and big band performance. His work bridges academic instruction with practical engagement in jazz combos and orchestras, emphasizing technical mastery and stylistic versatility.
