Gerald Patrick Lambert

G. Patrick Lambert, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Exercise Science and Pre-Health Professions at Creighton University's College of Arts and Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Iowa in 2001. Dr. Lambert specializes in gastrointestinal responses to physiological stressors, with teaching responsibilities in Human Physiology and Nutrition for Health and Sports Performance.

His research examines gastrointestinal barrier function during exercise-heat stress, fluid absorption mechanisms, and the impact of pharmacological agents on intestinal permeability. Lambert's investigations span sports nutrition, hydration science, and metabolic responses to physical stressors.

Dr. Lambert maintains active membership in professional societies including the American Physiological Society and American College of Sports Medicine. He previously served as President of the Nebraska Physiological Society, contributing to academic leadership in exercise science.
