Georgios Georgiou

Georgios Georgiou is an Assistant Professor of Applied Clinical Psychology at the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, School of Humanities, Social and Education Sciences, European University Cyprus.

Research Interests: Dr. Georgiou specializes in child and adolescent psychopathology with focus on callous-unemotional traits, autistic traits, and conduct disorders. His work examines empathy deficits, physiological reactivity biomarkers, and neurodevelopmental mechanisms. Additional expertise includes medication adherence interventions for chronic conditions and school-based violence prevention programs.

Publication Trends: Recent work demonstrates interdisciplinary integration of clinical psychology, neuroscience, and public health. Key themes include DSM-5 diagnostic specifiers for conduct disorder, physiological correlates of psychopathic traits in youth, and digital health solutions for treatment adherence.
