Georgios Angelis

Georgios Angelis is a Macroeconomist currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Glasgow's Adam Smith Business School since January 2024. His research focuses on Behavioral Economics and Networks, with particular interest in Price Setting and Price Stickiness.

Dr. Angelis holds a PhD in Economics from Brown University (2020), an MSc in Operations Research from Columbia University (2011), and a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (2010).

His primary research areas include Macroeconomics, with specializations in Behavioral Economics and Networks. His work examines price setting behavior, inaction bands, and the intersection of behavioral insights with macroeconomic theory. His research combines theoretical modeling with empirical applications to understand fundamental economic phenomena.

Dr. Angelis has published in prestigious journals including the Journal of the European Economic Association. His recent publications focus on price stickiness, matching functions, consumption behavior, and monetary policy.
