Georgina Zimbitas

Georgina Zimbitas is a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at Canterbury Christ Church University's School of Engineering, Technology and Design, where she joined in 2021. She concurrently serves as the SE WISE Lead, actively promoting network opportunities for women and men in STEM across the South East region while forging strategic partnerships with educational institutions and industries.

Her research centers on understanding interactions at interfaces to optimize multimaterial properties and develop sustainable production techniques. With expertise spanning physical chemistry, surface science, and chemical engineering, she employs multidisciplinary approaches across experimental conditions from ultra-high vacuum chambers to high-temperature furnaces. Her work bridges fundamental science with industrial applications through innovative problem-solving methodologies.
