Georgia Ramsay

Georgia Ramsay is a Lecturer in the Department of Education at the University of York, where she has served as Curriculum Area Leader for the Geography PGCE Programme since 2020. With over 20 years of classroom experience as a geography teacher and school leader in Yorkshire, she bridges practical expertise with research-informed pedagogy to train future educators.

Her responsibilities include designing and delivering the PGCE program, fostering geographical subject knowledge and pedagogical skills among trainees. She also contributes to the award-winning Sustainability Clinic module, acting as an expert advisor to students collaborating with community organizations on sustainable practices.
