Georgia Farinou-Malamatari is a Visiting Professor at King's College London's Centre for Hellenic Studies, part of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. She is a postgraduate alumna of King's Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies and previously taught at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki's Department of Medieval and Modern Greek Studies. Her research focuses on Modern Greek and Comparative Literature, including 19th and 20th-century fiction, narratology, postmodern life-writing, and translation studies.
She serves as President of the Society for Papadiamantis’ Studies and is a member of the CHS Academic Committee. She contributed to organizing an international conference at King’s to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution (2021). Her work bridges Greek literary analysis with broader comparative and theoretical frameworks, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to literature and its cultural contexts.
