George Siakas

George Siakas (born 1983) serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) and Research Director of the Public Opinion and Market Research Unit at the University of Macedonia Research Institute. His expertise centers on quantitative analysis of political systems and electoral behavior.

His core research areas include:

Notable publications comprise Measuring Public Opinion (2017) on survey methodology and In the Name of Dignity (2019, co-authored with Nikos Marantzidis) analyzing Greek public attitudes during the 2010-2019 economic crisis.

Siakas actively designs and implements quantitative/qualitative research for Greek and international organizations, news networks, and research institutes. As ELIAMEP external expert, he develops Balkan public opinion projects.
