George Sanders

George Sanders is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work and Criminal Justice at Oakland University. His research focuses on Sexualities, Gender Studies, and Contemporary Social Theory with particular attention to intersections of religion, capitalism, and cultural dynamics.

He holds a terminal degree in Sociology and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals such as Sexualities, Critical Sociology, and Implicit Religion. His work examines topics including queer theory, corporate mindfulness programs, and the sociology of religious institutions.
