George Rush is a Professor and Undergraduate Chair in the Painting and Drawing program at The Ohio State University's Department of Art. He holds an MFA from Columbia University School of the Arts and a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art. His artistic practice focuses on painting and drawing, with exhibitions in New York, Copenhagen, Madrid, Miami, Santa Fe, and Michigan.
Rush's recent work includes the 'Night Watch' series (2023) featuring acrylic gouache paintings, and 'Barcelona Pavillion' inspired works (2021). His artistic research explores contemporary approaches to representation and materiality in painting.
