George Parsons is the Unidel E.I. DuPont Professor at the School of Marine Science & Policy, part of the College of Earth, Ocean and Environment at the University of Delaware. He holds joint appointments in the Department of Economics (Alfred Lerner College) and Department of Applied Economics and Statistics (College of Agriculture and Natural Resources).

Research Interests
Dr. Parsons specializes in Environmental Economics, focusing on Non-market Valuation techniques such as travel cost models, hedonic price models, contingent valuation, and choice experiments. His recent work examines Coastal and Ocean Resource Use, with applications to offshore wind power, electric vehicle choice, recreational fishing, birdwatching, and coastal beach economics.
