George P. Philippidis

George P. Philippidis is an Associate Professor at the Department of Integrative Biology, College of Arts and Sciences, University of South Florida. He also teaches courses at the Patel College of Global Sustainability, focusing on renewable energy systems, biofuels, and sustainable development. His research emphasizes biotechnology applications for algae-based products, biofuel production from renewable feedstocks, and environmental bioremediation strategies.

Education includes a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (University of Minnesota, 1989), an MBA (University of Denver, 1995), and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, 1984).
