George Ostrouchov is an Adjunct Research Professor at the University of Tennessee's Haslam College of Business and former Distinguished Research Staff Member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). He founded the Programming with Big Data in R (pbdR) project, enabling scalable statistical computing on HPC systems.
Research develops parallel computing frameworks for statistical analysis, distributed machine learning algorithms, and performance profiling tools. The pbdR ecosystem supports petascale data analysis across scientific domains.
