Dr. George O. White III is a Professor of Strategic Management at the University of Michigan-Flint’s School of Management. He holds additional roles as a Core Faculty member in the International and Global Studies Program (UM-Flint), Faculty Affiliate at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor), Non-Resident Research Fellow at the Asian Institute of Management (Philippines), and Visiting Professor at NIDA Business School (Thailand). His research focuses on legal/regulatory institutions, corrupt environments, and their impact on multinational enterprises’ nonmarket strategies and performance in Southeast Asia.
He has received notable awards, including the Win Cooper II Faculty Excellence Award and Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching. His editorial roles include Associate Editor at Multinational Business Review, and board memberships at Journal of International Management, Management International Review, Asian Business & Management, and European Journal of International Management.
