George Moulton

George Moulton is Professor of BioHealth Informatics and Education at the University of Manchester's Division of Informatics, Imaging & Data Sciences. He serves as Programme Director for the MSc in Health Informatics and as Capacity Building Lead at the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre in Manchester. Moulton also holds the position of External Examiner for the MSc in Health Data Science at the University of Exeter.

His research interests focus on BioHealth Informatics, Clinical Informatics, and Digital Learning, with significant contributions to developing frameworks for clinical informatics competency and digital education methods. His work strongly aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in health and education.

Moulton's recent publications demonstrate consistent focus on clinical informatics education, competency frameworks, and digital tools for healthcare training. His research shows increasing emphasis on practical applications of informatics in primary care settings, particularly around antibiotic prescribing optimization and digital competency development for clinicians.
