George Morris

George Morris is an Adjunct Instructor at the Manship School of Mass Communication, Louisiana State University. With 36 years of experience in daily newspapers, he brings extensive practical expertise in journalism and sports writing to his teaching.

His professional background includes award-winning work recognized by the Louisiana Press Association (with seven awards including three first-place honors), Associated Press Sports Editors (ten national awards), and Louisiana Sports Writers Association (nineteen first-place awards).

As a part-time lecturer, he focuses on translating professional journalism practices into educational experiences for students pursuing careers in mass communication.

He earned his Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
