George Laskey

CAPT George Laskey is a Visiting Professor at the National War College (National Defense University) and serves as the National Security Agency (NSA) Chair. He holds a unique blend of military, intelligence, and academic roles spanning over three decades. His career includes leadership positions at U.S. Cyber Command, Fleet Cyber Command, and NSA, focusing on signals intelligence, cyber operations, and system engineering.

Education: BSEE and MSEE from George Mason University, MSE in Systems Engineering, and MA in National Security Strategy from National War College. Certifications include Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), CISSP, and PMP. He is a member of the Department of Defense Acquisition Corps and Navy Space Cadre.

Research emphasizes data acquisition systems, cyber defense, and strategic national security policies. His leadership in critical NSA projects earned unit commendations. Current role: Deputy Commander of Navy Information Force Reserves – Region Washington, DC.
