George Korniotis serves as Professor of Finance and Bank of America Scholar at the Miami Herbert Business School, University of Miami, and is a research fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research. Previously, he taught at the University of Notre Dame and served as a financial economist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
He earned his BSc from the University of Cyprus in 1998 as valedictorian, receiving the Presidential Award of the Republic of Cyprus, and completed his PhD at Yale University in 2003 under Peter Phillips and Nobel Laureate Robert Shiller.
His research spans asset pricing, behavioral finance, household finance, and econometrics, focusing on investment choice, macroeconomic impacts on asset prices, and individual investor behavior. His work appears in premier journals including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies, with coverage in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times.
