George Huitema

Prof. Dr. George Huitema is a Professor of Telematics at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Economics and Business, specializing in Operations Management and Smart Energy Systems. His research focuses on service development, digitalization, and energy system integration, particularly in transitioning to sustainable energy solutions. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Groningen (1988) and has extensive experience in industry roles, including Senior Research Scientist at TNO (2003–2022).
