George Hom

George Hom is a Senior Lecturer in the Information Systems and Operations Management department at Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School. With over 35 years of industry experience, he serves as Data Architect for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts while contributing to academia. His expertise spans data warehousing, business analytics, and governance across finance, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and entertainment sectors.

Education: EMBA from Suffolk University and BSME from University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Research interests focus on leveraging data analytics to transform digital assets into strategic business tools, emphasizing Python-based analytics, ETL processes, and visualization through Tableau/PowerBI. He designs and teaches graduate-level courses including Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Data Mining Capstone projects.

Professional activities include moderating career fairs in Business Analytics (2021) and panel participation (2018-2020). His work enables organizations to optimize financial performance through data-driven decision-making frameworks.
