George Ferns is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the Department of Management Marketing, Business & Society at the University of Bath. His research focuses on corporate responses to environmental challenges, including climate change, corporate social responsibility, and environmental activism. He also explores discourse studies related to social, organizational, and institutional change. His work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those addressing environmental protection and sustainability.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Management from the University of Edinburgh (2017). His research has been published in prestigious journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Business & Society, and Human Relations. He is affiliated with the Centre for Future of Work and the Centre for Business, Organisations and Society (CBOS).
George teaches environmental management and sustainability and is willing to supervise doctoral students on topics like business-environment interactions, social movements, and climate change perspectives. He actively contributes to interdisciplinary research networks addressing organizational and societal transformations.
