George Boyne

Professor George Boyne serves as the Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen, a position he has held since August 1, 2018. He leads the university's strategic direction, including the development and implementation of the "Aberdeen 2040" strategy launched in February 2020, which won the Higher Education Strategic Planners Association award for University strategy of the year in 2021. Professor Boyne also chairs the University Senate, serves on the University Court, and is a member of the Board of the University's Development Trust.
