Dr. George Boateng is a Lecturer at the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics at ETH Zürich, Switzerland. He holds a PhD in Applied Machine Learning from ETH Zürich, a BA in Computer Science, and an MS in Computer Engineering from Dartmouth College, U.S. His research spans ubiquitous computing (mobile and wearable), applied machine learning, mobile health, and AI in education, producing 35+ peer-reviewed publications.

As CEO and Cofounder of Kwame AI Inc., he develops AI-powered personal knowledge assistants like Adesua (science education), SuaCode (coding education), and Eskwai (legal research). His work focuses on democratizing education in Africa through mobile-first solutions and open-source initiatives such as AfricAIED and Brilla AI. Previously, he worked as an Applied Scientist at Amazon (Alexa AI) and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge.
