George Andronikos

Dr George Andronikos is a Research Fellow at Edinburgh Napier University’s School of Applied Sciences, specializing in Sports Sciences with a focus on Career Transitions in Sport, Talent Development Environments, and the Application of Science to Sport and Exercise. He is affiliated with the Sports, Exercise and Health Science Research Group.

His research examines how environmental and individual factors influence athlete progression, with recent studies on triathlon coaching frameworks, gender disparities in talent systems, and parental roles in multi-sport pathways. Projects include Developing Effective Talent Pathways Using a TDEQ Framework (2025-2028) and Capturing the insights of parents of athletes in performance pathways (2019-2021).
