Georg Mein

Georg Mein is Full Professor and Head of ULIDE at the University of Luxembourg's Department of Humanities. His research examines media theory, literary aesthetics, and the intersection of cultural theory with contemporary media landscapes.

His recent work investigates digital transformation's impact on humanities scholarship, analyzing algorithmic cultures, AI's societal implications, and media's role in democratic processes. Current projects focus on aesthetic dimensions of philosophical anthropology and crisis discourses in digital publics.

Mein teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in media theory, literary criticism, and cultural studies. He coordinates interdisciplinary research initiatives examining technology's cultural impacts and edits scholarly publications on intercultural German studies.
