Georg Marschnig is a Professor for Subject Didactics of History and Political Education at the University of Vienna since March 1, 2023. He holds a habilitation (2024) from the University of Graz and has held roles at institutions including the University of Waterloo (2022 Visiting Scholar) and Regional Centre for History and Political Education Styria (Director 2020-22).
- PhD (2010) and MA in History and German (University of Vienna)
- Editor of textbook series "Denkmal" since 2016
