Georg Fuchsbauer

Georg Fuchsbauer is an Associate Professor at TU Wien's Department of Information Security, specializing in cryptography and privacy-preserving technologies. He coordinates research in Security and Privacy within the E192-06 Information Security group. His work focuses on cryptographic protocols, blockchain technology, and formal security proofs.

He leads projects like COnFIDE (2020–2027) and SFB SPyCoDe (2023–2026), funded by the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF). His research addresses challenges in digital signatures, transaction privacy, and lightweight cryptographic systems. Notable contributions include advancements in Mimblewimble protocol security and blind Schnorr signatures.

Teaching includes courses like 'Introduction to Cryptography' and 'Advanced Cryptography,' alongside supervising student theses on topics like zk-SNARKs and Falcon's physical security.
