Geoffrey Cook is a Senior Lecturer at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, within the VC Marine Sciences school and Geosciences Research Division. He holds a PhD in Geology from Washington State University (2009), an M.S. from Boise State University (2002), and a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College (2000).
His research focuses on physical volcanology, including the volcanic evolution of large calderas, petrogenesis of magmas, and geoscience education.
