Geoff Parks is a Professor of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow at Jesus College. He serves as Deputy Head (Education) in the School of Technology and has held significant administrative roles, including Director of Admissions for Cambridge Colleges (2003–2012) and Senior Tutor (2012–2022).
- Education: BA in Engineering (1984) and PhD in Nuclear Engineering (1989), both from the University of Cambridge.
His research focuses on computational design, multiobjective optimisation, nuclear reactor design and simulation, in-core nuclear fuel management, future nuclear systems, and thorium-based nuclear fuel cycles. He has contributed to advancing nuclear engineering through theoretical and applied studies.
Geoff received the Pilkington Teaching Prize in 2003 for his excellence in education. His work bridges nuclear technology development with broader energy system challenges.
