Gennady El is a Professor of Applied Mathematics at Northumbria University's Department of Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering. He holds Visiting Professorships at Loughborough University and Université de Lille. His research focuses on nonlinear dispersive waves, solitons, asymptotic methods, and applications in fluid dynamics and nonlinear optics.
