Gene Tsudik is a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), affiliated with the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California (USC) in 1991, and has held roles at IBM Zurich Research Laboratory and USC/ISI before joining UCI in 2000. His research focuses on security, privacy, and applied cryptography, with recent emphasis on malware resistance in IoT devices and privacy-preserving technologies.
