Gemma Taylor

Dr. Gemma Taylor is a Professor and Reader in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bath, specializing in epidemiology and behavioral science. Her work focuses on tobacco epidemiology, mental health benefits of smoking cessation, and integrating smoking cessation interventions into psychological services. She has over 15 years of experience across NHS, private, and academic sectors.

Dr. Taylor holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Birmingham (2015), an MSc in Applied Clinical and Health Psychology from the University of Worcester (2011), and a BSc in Psychology & Biology from the University of Worcester (2009). She teaches statistics and research methods across various programs, including Psychology BSc/MSc, Clinical Psychology Doctorate DClinPsy, and Mathematics at Bath, and previously at Bristol and Birmingham.

Her research emphasizes causal inference, randomized controlled trials, behavioral science, and real-world data analysis. She has secured £1.5M as PI and £35M as Co-I from MRC, NIHR, and CRUK.
