Gemma Hutton

Dr. Gemma Hutton is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queen Mary University of London's Wolfson Institute of Population Health. She conducts interdisciplinary service evaluations focused on increasing participation in the NHS Breast Screening Programme in England.

Her research examines cancer screening behavior, treatment decision-making processes, and the role of social support in illness prevention and recovery. With a background in health psychology, Dr. Hutton employs both quantitative and qualitative methods to explore patient experiences and healthcare interventions.

Previous research has investigated recovery processes and treatment decision-making in cancer and myocardial infarction patients, examining how these factors influence long-term health outcomes.
