Professor Gaynor Parfitt specializes in Exercise and Health Sciences at UniSA Allied Health & Human Performance. Her research examines affective responses to exercise, exercise behavior motivation, and psychophysiological mechanisms underlying exercise intensity perception. She developed methods for self-regulating exercise intensity using perceived pleasure and has applied them across diverse populations.
Her recent work investigates virtual reality's impact on exercise engagement and affect.
