Dr. Gavin Hunter is a molecular plant pathologist and mycologist currently serving as a Team Leader and Research Scientist at CSIRO. His work focuses on molecular diagnostics of plant pathogens, classical weed biocontrol, and the identification of invasive fungal pathogens through DNA-based tools and morphological taxonomy. He has contributed to biosecurity initiatives for Australian plant industries and ecosystems.
