Gastone Castellani is a Full Professor of Applied Physics and Biophysics at the University of Bologna's Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences. He holds a PhD in Physics and directs the Galvani Center for Bioinformatics, Biophysics, and Biocomplexity. His research focuses on Machine Learning, Big Data, and AI applied to biomedical data, with a particular interest in statistical interpretation of AI methods.
