Gary Shaw

Professor Gary Shaw is a Professor of Professional Practice at the University of Sunderland, with over 40 years of experience in major crime investigation. Previously serving as a Detective Chief Inspector with Northumbria Police until 2007, he transitioned to academia to focus on investigative interviewing and curriculum development. He holds an MBE (2009) for services to policing and an Honorary Doctorate from Sunderland University for his contributions to investigative practices.
