Dr. Gary Hodgson is a Research Fellow at the Carnegie School of Sport, Leeds Beckett University, where he has worked since 2014. He completed his Bachelor's (2009-2012), Master's (2012-2014), and PhD (2015-2020) at the same institution. His primary role involves advancing youth sport coaching through the ICOACHKIDS initiative, focusing on online coach education resources and policy development. He collaborates with global partners like Nike, FIFA, and UNICEF to disseminate resources across 200+ countries in 30+ languages.
Research Interests: Youth sport coaching pedagogy, coach learning dynamics, and the application of individual differences in coaching education. His doctoral work explored how individual differences influence coach development, a theme he continues to pursue.
