Gary Heartfield

Gary Heartfield is an Adjunct Professor at Cumberland University's Labry School of Science, Technology & Business since Fall 2019. He concurrently serves as an Academic Coach, focusing on student academic and career goal-setting, learning strategies, time management, and organizational skills. Previously, he spent over 30 years in the telecommunications industry, working in roles such as National Account Manager for fiber optic sales and Supply Chain Management for a major telecom corporation. His instructional background includes teaching College and High School Algebra, Computer Programming, and contributed to developing the Palm Beach County Computer Programming curriculum.

He holds a B.A. in Education from the University of South Florida and an M.B.A. in Systems Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. His academic roles emphasize bridging professional experience with education, particularly in technology and business disciplines.
