Gary Galbraith is a Professor of Dance and the Artistic Director of Dance in the Department of Dance, College of Arts and Sciences, at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). A distinguished alumnus of CWRU, he teaches advanced modern technique, choreography, and dance wellness, and was honored with the 2005 Diekhoff Award for excellence in Graduate Teaching.
Galbraith pioneers the integration of technology into dance performance and audience experience, creating groundbreaking works since 2000. His notable projects include Kinetic Shadows (an early Internet2 implementation using video streams), In Common Space (a networked performance across three cities), and Imagined Odyssey (2017, featuring Microsoft Hololens for mixed reality dance, hailed as "an unqualified triumph" by Cleveland.com). He also directs the Dancer Wellness Project, a global consortium advancing dancer health through screening and injury surveillance.

Galbraith serves as developer and director of the Dancer Wellness Project, partnering with dance organizations, universities, and clinics worldwide. He is a member of Dance/USA's Task Force on Dancer Health and delivered the keynote address at the 2010 Performing Arts Medicine Association annual meeting. His professional dance career included principal roles with the Martha Graham Dance Company and Jose Limón Company, plus international guest appearances across Brazil, Israel, Switzerland, and Turkey.
