Gary Cook is Chair in Molecular Imaging at King's College London and honorary consultant at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals. His research develops novel PET/CT methods for cancer detection and treatment monitoring.
Current projects include PD-L1 SPECT/CT for immunotherapy response prediction in lung cancer, whole-body PET perfusion imaging, and redox status assessment in tumors. Cook's work integrates multi-parametric imaging biomarkers to characterize tumor heterogeneity.
He received the SNMMI Oncology Abstract Prize (2024) and leads the National Total Body PET Centre initiative. His clinical research spans bone metastasis imaging, novel tracer validation, and quantitative PET methodology.
