Garrick Blalock

Garrick Blalock is an Associate Professor at Cornell University's Department of Economics within the College of Arts and Sciences. He joined the Department of Applied Economics and Management in 2002. His research focuses on management of technology, firm strategy, and emerging markets, with notable work on sustainable technology adoption in rural regions. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Haas School of Business (2002).

Blalock’s research emphasizes practical solutions for development challenges, such as fuel-efficient cookstoves in Uganda and indigenous bone fertilizer in Ethiopia.
