Garrett Thomson

Garrett Thomson is the Elias Compton Professor of Philosophy and affiliated with Middle Eastern & North African Studies at The College of Wooster. He holds a B.A. from Newcastle University (1978) and a Ph.D. from Balliol College, Oxford (1984). His work bridges philosophical inquiry with interdisciplinary studies in Middle Eastern and North African contexts.

Research interests include ethical frameworks, political philosophy, and cultural studies, reflecting his dual departmental affiliation.
