Garrett M. Stack

Garrett M. Stack, PhD is an Associate Professor and Journalism & Technical Communications Coordinator in the Department of English, Literature, and World Languages at Ferris State University's College of Arts, Sciences and Education. He holds a PhD in Rhetoric from Carnegie Mellon University, an MA in Rhetoric and Writing Studies from San Diego State University, and a BA in Journalism from Indiana University.

His research focuses on environmental communication and writing pedagogy, blending academic inquiry with creative writing practice. He has published two poetry collections and contributed to environmental communication scholarship through peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. His teaching encompasses journalism, technical writing, creative writing, and composition courses.
