Garrett Eckl

Garrett Eckl serves as Assistant Professor of Music Production in the W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts at McNeese State University, Lake Charles, LA. His interdisciplinary work bridges music creation, programming, and educational technology development.

As developer of the RIFFIT Reader and SongR applications, he has created multi-genre AI-powered composition systems featuring dynamic mixing interfaces and digital instrument libraries. His professional credits include lead audio engineering for San Diego State’s 2019 production of 'She Loves Me' and Joseph Water’s opera 'The Magic Hummingbird', plus production work across Rock, Pop, Jazz, and Classical genres.
