Garret Olberding

Garret Olberding is a Professor in the Department of History at the University of Oklahoma, specializing in early Chinese history. His research focuses on historiography, strategic space representation, and administrative corruption management in imperial China.

His work explores the dynamic conceptualization of sovereignty and space in pre-modern China through publications like Designing Boundaries in Early China (2022) and Dubious Facts (2012). Current research investigates Qin and Han dynasty administrative oversight mechanisms.
